My name is Elizabeth Bowen, I am a 17 year old Gap Year student and I live in Maidenhead, UK. At school, I studied Maths, Chemistry, French, Theatre Studies and History. I would like to au pair because it allows me to travel and to improve my French, but more importantly it would allow me to gain experience in an area of work that I would be interested in ensuing as a career. I have 4 older siblings. My parents, two of my brothers and my sister in law live with me. Family has been a very important part of my upbringing. My hobbies and interests include singing, cooking, swimming, socialising, drawing, going to museums, going to galleries and film studies. I like travel and enjoy adventurous activities. Languages are a big passion of mine, and I am looking forward to spending more time improving my language skills. At school, I took part in many sports teams, acting troupes and choirs, and I taught a youth group for Gifted and Talented children also. I want to spend my next year trying new types of volunteer and aid work, and I believe that au pairing would be a good starting point. My mother au paired as a teenager also, and tells me that it was extremely enjoyable.

Mes passe-temps et intérets sont chanter, cuisiner, nager, passer des temps avec mes amis, dessiner, aller aux musées, aller aux galleries, et étuder cinéma. J'aime voyager et faire des activités adventureux. Les langues sont trés intéressant pour moi, et je voudrais passer plus de temps améliorer ma compétence en français. À college, j'ai participé à beaucoup des équipes de sport, des théâtre compagnies, des chorales, et j'ai enseigné une groupe d'élèves qui s'appelle 'Gifted and Talented'. Je voudrais passer mes temps l'anée prochaine essayer nouveau types de travail, et je crois que étre au pair cerait le meillure début. Ma mère a été au pair en france quand elle avait dix-sept ans aussi, et elle me dit que c'était une expérience fantastique.
