My name is Kate Mumme and I am 23 years old. I live about an hour out of Melbourne, Australia on a property of about 60 acres.
I am currently working as a gymnastic coach full time where I teach children from 2 - 8 years of age in a number of different classes, ranging from parent/child participation to an international program.
Working with children has taught me patience and understanding (sometimes I have no idea what they are talking about). It has also been extremely rewarding, seeing a child mastering a new skill or leaving their comfort zone to try something new, always makes me very proud to be their coach.
I have been babysitting, a family from gymnastics, 5 children aged between 2 and 11 for the past few years. This has including driving them home from gym, spending the day with a few or all of the kids, preparing dinner and putting them to bed. Their parents have provided me with a good reference.
I spend a lot of time at the gymnastics club and also enjoy doing gymnastics myself, not quite as well as I used to though. I play tennis socially once a week for fitness and really enjoy a good book.
I recently graduated from TAFE with a Diploma of Event Managment and hope to pursue a career in this field, (hopefully within the 2012 Olympics)
I passed my maual driving test in 2006 and would feel comfortable driving in the UK.
II have now got my tier 5 working visa and police check!
Now that my Visa is finialised, I will be able to come the the UK in October of this year and stay for a maximum of 1 year.

Reasons For Becoming An Au Pair/Nanny etc:
I have really wanted to travel and see new parts of the world for a long time, but I dont really enjoy being a tourist. I think being an Au Pair or Mothers Help would be the best way to experience another country and culture. I also really enjoy being around kids and their view on the world is always an interesting one.
