Dear host family! My name is Felicia Höjman and I am 19 years old. I am born in a city in the southwest of Sweden called Halmstad. The city is next to the beach, and the beach is one of the best ones in Sweden. The city has about 100 000 inhabitatians. I live 7 minutes from the city by car in a house with my family. My family consists of my mum Kristina, and my dad Peter, my sister Josefin and my brother Johan. My sister is 22 years old and my brother is 17 years old.
In 2011, I graduated from high school. I was reading social and economics studys. I have been playing football during my whole life, and I started when I was really yong, but now iäm only playing for fun. I’ve also been a gymnast for my whole life but I hurt my back so I became a gymnastic trainer instead. My family is interested in a lot of sports, and that´s a subject that we normally talk about. Both of my siblings play football as well. When I was 15 I started to be a referee for both childreen and adults. To be the referee on football is a real challenge because you are in new situations the whole time and you need to be really consentrated. You have to take quik decisions and be strong as a person when players, coaches and the audience has something against you decisions.
During high school i was working at Mc Donalds and after high school I was working there and as a cleaner at Hotel Tylösand. My tasks there was to clean the hotelrooms, the dinninghall, reception and the spa-area. At Mc Donalds I was working in all the different stations. In the cashiers office, in the kitchen and outside in the dining hall. I liked to be in the cashier because you met the customers and you can talked to them. The work had a lot of stress but you get used to it.
I have been babysitting a girl named Felicia, she is almost three years old but I’ve been watching her since she got born. I have also baby-sitted my neighbours childreen. They have two childreen named Julia and Hanna. Julia is the oldest one and she is ten years old now and Hanna is three. I have taken care of them for 4 years and I usually take care of them more during the summer then the winter. We go to the playground, play with their toys, play football and jump at the springmatress. I really love to care of them and I have so much fun together with them. I want to spread my joy to children, teach them things that are useful to know but also that it is important to be a child as long as possible. Myself I'am very playful and likes to trainand hope to spread this to the children.
Now I’ve been in Santa Barbara, California for three months. I’ve been watching a five year old boy named Viktor. The family is from Sweden to. Me and Viktor goes to the parks and play, building lego, doing homework and just hang around. We have a really good connection. I like to do different stuff with the kids so that they get variations and don’t get bored. I love beeing an au pair here.
I have a driving license so if you want me to drive I will be able to do that. I got my driving license in october 2010.
