Yes - I have completed one year ( 2007/2008) in a school for disabled children. This experience is called "Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr" in Germany, which means that this occupation is a kind of social service. Furthermore I worked as a babysitter in our neighbourhood.
to get to know me better, I´m going to tell you something about me, my family, my life in Germany and my wish to become an au pair in another country. My name is Lara Rompza, I´m 21 years old and I live in a city called Dortmund in Germany. I´m 163 cm tall and as you can see on my photo, I have dark hair an brown eyes. I live in a house in a suburb of Dortmund with my father, who works as a social worker and my mother, who works as a nurse. Besides we got another family member, our cat hubert, who is almost 18 years old. My older sister, who is 27 and studies, lives in an accomodation close-by with her boy-friend, but we all have a close relationship and so she often comes to our house or the other way around. I think I´m a trustworthy and open-minded person, who won´t have problems to get along with a new situation and people and for this reason I guess that I can really fit in the occupation of an au pair. After I finished school in 2007, I worked in a school for mentally disabled children which is tailored to particular needs, where I supported the kids in every way they needed it. That means for example helping during the class, playing with the children, reading books to them, preparing meals, going to the playground and also helping with going to the toilet or winding. I really loved my occupation and this job also formed my wish to work with children in the future. I guess this experience is a good reference for working as an au pair. At home I help my mother with the general household, which means that I can be a helping hand with cooking, laundry or general cleaning, if this is required. Summing up, I can say, that I´m very excited to meet new friends and to make new experiences abroad. I´m really looking forward to become a part of another family, who also wants to welcome a reliable person to live with them.
Yours sincerely
Lara Rompza
