Hello, Im Jorge Garrido and i would like to be your nanny live in.
I have a questionaire that i think can to help. Questionaire:
1. Comment on about your family: parents, sister and brothers. I have a sister,Pilar, she is 18, student, she love the animals and the kids, sometimes work as nanny. I have also a brother,Fernando, he is 19, student They both have couple, and are very humilty. My mother, Pilar, is 44, she work in a day care, i go there always i can. She is sensitive, honest, very good mother. My father, Joaquin, is 47, he work in a climatization company and he is a team leader. My parents are very good, always helping their children, are hardworker.
2. How do you describe your childhood? My childhood was very good i think. i always was one of best of my school and high school. I played a lot of theatre, i had and have a lot of friends. I remember it with love and pride.
3. Tell me about some interesting experience you had when working as an au pair. I never worked as an au pair, but yes as nanny and housekeeper. i also was stepfather, i was married and my ex-wife have 2 daughters, now they are 4 and 7, when i was with their was 3 and 6. i hope that it isnt a problem, i married because my ex-girlfriend was ilegal in Spain and we was afraid for it, she is colombian. I was stepfather for 6 months only, because the kids was in Colombia. In this time, i did all, i care their, cooking, take to and from school, helping with homework, bath... I love the kids, my children, Dayana and Juliana, love my. When they was in Colombia, dont wanted speak with their mother for telephone, before they wanted speak with me. I also worked as nanny with a boy, he is 10 now, when i worked he was 8. I was 3 hours daily after the school, i helped him with homework, care him and i helped his mather with housework. I was caring a girl 2 years old for 2 months, every afternoon 4 hours while her parents work.
4. What are you doing at the moment and why would you leave that to be our nanny? Now im living in Cardiff, i came here because i found a free room and a friend told me that this city is good for start in UK. I think that is better look a family if im in Uk already. I came for this reason.
5. What are you looking for from your life for the next two years? I just want to be a member of your family more, i havent period limit, if i you need me for 1 or 2 years, i will stay in your family this time, it isnt a problem. After it, maybe i will try to work as flight attendant, i finish the course in september.
6. Do you like to cook? I really like cooking, i have bad memory for recipes, but it isnt a problem because it is written :). My mother always want that i cook in my house, im not a professional, but yes im good. I enjoy cooking
7. Do you have first aid course? If not what would you do in case of burns, cut, electric shock, high fever and fainting fit of my son? Yes, like i said before, im Flight Attendant. In the course i had to pass some exams, first aid, swimming... In important case the first is ask help to an ambulance, as electric shock (we cant to see how is he inside). In burns keep clean and with warm water, after implement an oinment with a gauze. In a cut, depends of if is a big or small cut, big cut clean and bendage, and take to the doctor, small cut clean and bendage. in a fainting, i check all the vital signs, if all is ok, i go to the boy in bed and put him in position for security, and i call the doctor, for high fever i also call the doctor. The children are very delicated, and just a doctor know what is the better in every case, but always the better is the prevention.
8. Would you be happy looking after a 18 months baby, doing house work as hoovering, ironing and tidyng the house plus sharing the house with us? It is im looking, i can do all it, with energy and enjoy.
9. Why should we contract you to be our nanny? I have a lot of enthusiasm, very clean, organised, responsible, funny, happy, with humility, honesty Im a good person, i have knowledge about many things, i always like to learn more and more. I will not be only an au pair, i will be a member of the family more if i may.
