My name is Sophie, I’m 26 years old, a trained commercial clerk and a student of English, Economy and Law in Germany. I have been an Au Pair in 2002 in Leicester for 1 year for 2 children and I enjoyed this very much. Living with this family was a great experience. Next year I am going to graduate from university and that’s why I would like to spend about 4 weeks in England this summer to practise my English with native speakers.
In my free time I love to read all kinds of books, spend time with my boyfriend, do handicraft or go for long walks with my camera. But I also enjoy any kind of housework – in fact, I find ironing and dusting quite relaxing. I can honestly say I am very tidy and I like to cook simple meals or make cakes. I intend to work as a teacher once I have finished university because I love working with children. At the moment, I teach a computer course at a grammar school in the city where I study and it is great fun!
Furthermore, I am very reliable. I will give my best to support you in the every day life with your children and the housework. With your support I am certain that we will be able to manage it perfectly. Since I will be with you for such a short time I do not intend to go to any language class. However, since my final exams are already close I will try to spend some time at libraries to do some research. This is why I would like to stay in or very close to a larger city near a university, like London, Oxford or Cambridge.
At the end of May I am going to come to London for a one week study trip and I would be happy to meet you in this week so we can get a first impression of one another and find out if we get on well.
