Dear Family,
My name is Kornelia. I am a 25 year old primary school teacher from Slovakia. I have been working as a teacher for two years – the first year I taught English to children (6-15 years old) and the second year I was the form-master of 8-9 year old children (I taught basic subjects). I´m also a student at a university in Slovakia, where I learn English. I´ve finished my first 2 years successfully, but now (as I´ve decided to work abroad) I will interrupt my studies and finish it after a year.
I would like to work as an au pair in the UK, because I think this is the best way to gain some more experience with children and to improve my language skills as well. I love children - I like doing sports, arts and craft with them and I can help with their homework too. I have some experience with toddlers as well, as I spend a lot of my free time with my almost 2 years old niece, who I love so much. This year I had the opportunity to teach English in a nursery once a week – we all enjoyed it (reference from the head of the educational center). I go to summer camps as a childminder regularly. I like it, because I always learn some new things, activities and I enjoy working in a team.
I have studied and worked in London for a month some years ago, so it won’t be a totally unknown place for me. I am really looking forward to live there again as a part of a family.

- In 2003 I lived in London for a month with my sister who was working there at that time. At weekends I used to go tidying or ironing for a couple of hours. Sometimes I helped her with babysitting as well.
