Dear Family, my name is Susana and I am 21 years old. I am Portuguese and i have been living in England for the last 11 years. So I speak fluent Portuguese and English. I studied here and went to college where i took my Cache Level 3 Diploma in childcare and education in July of 2007 with 3 days a week spent at college and the other 2 on placement. A few months after I finish college, I got my first job in childcare. I worked in a school from October 2007 to August 2008. I was a specific teaching assistant for a 10 year old with special needs and whose first language was not English. Then I decided to do the 'Au pair in America' program for a year. I looked after two little girls that were just adorable! One of them with the age of 2and a half and the other one was 5. I had an amazing time over there and the family was lovely. I returned to England in September 2009 with a job waiting for me at a nursery where I work as a nursery nurse in a room with children from 3 and half to 5 years of age. There I have been learning a lot about the children, about their interests and likes and carry on learning on new arrivals. I observe them, plan activities and carry them out and keep my key children’s learning journals up to date. During my time at the nursery I have gone on some trainings such as: - From Batman to Bob the Builder - Behavioral management - Letters and sounds Phase One - Food hygiene
At the moment I am looking for a child care job in Switzerland as I wish to live there. I studied French at High School and had very good grades on it and still remember a lot of it. I know basic French but I wish to speak fluently by living there and studying and putting in practice what I already know. Another reason for me wanting to live in Switzerland is because I have my boyfriend living there with his family and we have been together for 4 years in August 2010. I want to continue my work in childcare and I think moving to Switzerland as an Au pair/ nanny will be a better off for me as I will be able to still work with children, improve my language skills in French as I would love to speak fluent French. In 2 years time I see myself working in a nursery or a primary school where I can carry on doing what I do best.
I am an easy going person who is very honest, patience, friendly and very enthusiastic. In my spare time I love to paint, go to the beach, go out with friends, visiting new places, explore the world, go to the cinema, chat with my friends online, cooking, learning new things, going to the gym, and lots more.
