I have volunteered and worked with children on numerous occasions and fully enjoyed it. I would like to broaden my knowledge of other cultures and I think that the bestway to do this is learning with people who are also learning i.e. children.
I am a flexible and independent individual who really enjoys spending time with people. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends and because I am very good at communicating I have no trouble doing this. I have a friendly and happy persona and am able to adapt easily to new situations.
My time keeping is very good, as this was a key skill required as a university student.
My hobbies include; reading, learning, teaching and many sports including netball, athletics and swimming.
As I said previously, I would like to gain work experience and meet new people. I aspire to go into education in some years time and believe that an au pair experience will benefit me wholly.
As an au pair I will have the opportunity to broaden my horizons, meet alot of new people and do something that I have always wanted to do; take care of children.
I have two younger sisters, the youngest of which I spent alot of time babysitting for when she was just a toddler. I enjoyed doing this as I got alot of pleasure from seeing her happy when she managed to read new words.
I spent alot of my teenage years babysitting, I babysat for two boys on a regular basis; one aged 5 and the other 9. Another family I regularly babysat for had two children; one daughter aged 11 and one son aged 4. One child from each of these families suffered illnesses that made them harder to look after (one had ADHD and the other had Autism) and therefore I am aware of the challenges that I could be faced with when looking after children.
With all the children I have babysat I was resposnsible for helping them with their homework, making sure they were bathed, changed and in bed by a certain time.
Your children would be in very safe and good hands if you were willing to accept me as your new au pair. I enjoy playing games and having fun but despite this I am still a very responsbile and concientious individual.
I am currently aupairing in Germany and will be doing so until the end of December. |
