No - I regularly look after a child of 3 and his older brother who is 13. I have experience of looking after children of all ages and would not rule out looking after children over 10 but I'm simply expressing a preference for younger children.
In September 2011 I hope to go to university to study Mandarin. In the meantime I wish to spend the next 18 months improving my other languages or learning different ones. I studied French and Spanish to Higher level last year (Highers are the Scottish equivalent to the English 'AS' Level) and gained an 'A' in both.
I am currently employed part time by a Member of the Scottish Parliament to assist with office duties and I have a number of part time babysitting jobs. I work well with young children and I really enjoy it (most of the time!). I like to make sure the children have fun but are always learning about different things. I consider myself to be very patient and respectful of all people - children included.
I would describe myself as very flexible, hard working and easy to get on with. I can supply references from various different people and would be more than happy to do that. I realise your children are very important to you and I want to reassure you as much as possible that you would be placing them in safe hands.
